Recommendations on Orbital Buffers
Thinking about polishing my car and it's so big that I am thinking about buying an orbital buffer. Any recommendations on which one to get?
|
Well if you want the best then it would be the Porter Cable 7424.

PC-7336 sp ($99 at Lowes) same as the 7424, but with a 6" counter balance.

be careful using an orbital on your car, if you don't know what you're doing you can do some serious damage, it's very easy to screw up with an orbital.
|
you have to be careful with the rotary buffer & burning the paint. it's pretty difficult to burn the paint with a random orbital.

Before you blow your cash learn to wax/wash a car first.
Of course, this is assuming you don't know how, if you do, please disregard this post. I read mbworld.org detailing instructions over and over and I totally bombarded the moderator with questions for weeks on end. I read autopia.org like the bible (no, not really, I'm really anti-religion) and read every single post before my head blew up. Look at what I was able to get, with less than 20$ :) http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/7246/dsc010656tt.jpg |
No machine work, and all products obtained from Wal-Mart.
Since then, I've moved up to Zaino :) http://img220.imageshack.us/img220/1849/dsc003417so.jpg |
