Zaino ZFX - Required?
 

Do you have to use ZFX with Z2? Is the only downside extended drying time and if so, what is the magnitude? Hours versus minutes?

I am lazy and don't want to deal with the mixing.

I am in Florida with high heat & humidity if that makes a difference.

I did a search and could not find this topic addressed.

I've been using Zaino for several years, though the "older"/non-ZFX versions:
when I reapply Z2, (over the orig base coat of Z1), I have never used ZFX.

Yes, Z2 takes a bit of time to dry, but put it on thin, as in less is more. And,
I think you will find that in FL's temps it dries very quickly, as in minutes or
qtr of an hour, and is ready to buff off. No detail expert, but I've had great
success with Zaino: Z1, Z2 and Z6 for anti-stat/touch ups on my three cars
and motorcycles.

Zaino lost their edge on the market. That stuff is a PITA to apply and doesn't give very good gloss.

Their Opti-Seal is a spray on wipe off sealant that works extremely well and applies more easily than any other product on the market. It is on my X5 right now and I love it.

Follow it up with their spray wax for shine and more protection and you're good to go.

I've got extra ZFX that is sitting unused in my garage. It allows for zero cure time. The mixing is really painless...it is actually better cause once mixed you dispense your product conservatively. I've switched to Porter Cable with Menzerna products. Zaino was all good for me in the day, but I wanted to take it to a higher level.

If you want my ZFX just cover shipping costs and toss in a little bone from one X5world'er/Xoupost'er to another. I've also got the polish lock also that I would throw in.
