P21S Opinions Needed!
Trying to wade through all the different opinions on the forums and searches are not helping me much. I know zaino is the winner but the notion of 80-90% of the result with 40% of the work greatly appeals to me. So...
Anyone used both and formed an opinion? Those who use P21S- how often are you applying it? I bought a 2008 4.8 a few weeks ago, finish looks good to me but I'm not an accomplished detailer. Would you clay bar before waxing? And to save time for the sticklers out there: Yes I know this should be in the detailers forum (which nobody except sponsors seems to look at/post on). Yes I have extensively utilized the search function. |
I've been using P21s for years and a huge fan it's so easy to apply with great results--first on my '01 X5 and now current--both Jet Black. Yes, you should clay couple times of year or at least once. I apply P21s every 3 months and mine is garaged at home and work. Carnauba tends to melt in the sun so here in TX it doesn't last too long. I also use Poor Boy's Dark Glaze underneath as it fills in any paint imperfections (they might have one for other colors like white).

Thanks for the info BGM! Just put in an order for the P21s 100% carnauba wax. I'll plan on claying first.

I have a ton of guys that swear by the P21S products (I have a ton of them available HERE). Our detail guys use the P21S products on all of our ECS vehicles and even in the heart of winter the finishes hold up and look great.

Nothing in the Carnuba category will be as easy to apply, or last as long, as Zaino. Having said that, I love P21s for the final application OVER a couple coats of Zaino... Gives you the best of both worlds... Zaino protection, and Carnuba "wetness".
