I got an email saying mine was shipped! I can't wait to get it. I may have to skip a weekend trip to NYC to install this thing once it gets here:excited:

just bought one, lets see how long it takes

Got it installed this weekend. It took about one hour total. I have Sirius so I had to remove the tire and all the fun involved with that. It sounds great and beats my DICE without any issues. I am still playing with it. I do think that I will miss the track display on the Instrument cluster but I get so much more information on my screen, that I think that with a few days, it will become second nature to look at the Navigation screen.

One problem is that I do have the engine whine and scratching that others have reported with the Sirius module. I will try the option offered by KrisL next week and see how that works out.

I did the "jumper link wire" mod as per KrisL and the I-BUS noise caused by OEM Sirius is gone! Now, before I did the jumper like mod, the only noise I got was I-BUS "tic-tic-tic" noise and no engine whine noise.

Just double check all your connection and grounds.

However, the I-BUS "scratching noise" will be eliminated with the jumper link wire mod as per KrisL. Apparently, Sirius is daisy-chained on the CD Changer I-BUS and the Intravee needs to be grounded a specific way when you have Sirius installed.

Anyhow, can you do me a favor? What firmware is installed in your Intravee-II? Just go to "Status" and it will display your Firmware and Build number.

Hey Kewl,
I have both the whine and the tic-tic-tic. It is not as loud as the noise from the Dice. With the Dice, I could not listen to my audio books! The noise from the Intravee only seems to be when it is changing songs, that short gap and then depending on the songs, I can hear it very slighty in the background.

I have Version 5.10 Build 192.

Anyhow, I recently upgraded the firmware on the IV-II to Firmware 5.31, Build 306. Since I have both the Alpine MP3/CD Changer and iPod attached, on the "Select Source" menu, I renamed "Net 1" to "MP3 changer" and "Net 2" to the name of my iPod.

I don't have any whine whatsoever.
