Bluetooth success!!

A bit of history, I have a 02/2003 X5 with the phone prep package, (no cradle or modules though.)
I have the 54 pin connector plug and have a black and purple fakra connector wire laying loose. it plugged into the tcu (not the bluetooth plug, but one of the cell phone ones.)
I picked up a TCU module 84109132711 from a wrecker, it was installed in another 2006 X5 e53.
I picked up an updated microphone too (from another trip to the wrecker!)
I ordered the blue tooth antenna from a parts place.
My MID unit has the phone button on it, and my steering wheel has the talking man and the R/T button.

I connected the Mic, TCU and plugged the black/purple antenna wire into the correct plug then powered up my iphone 6S, switched on the key, and to my surprise the phone initialized, so i went to my blue tooth settings in my phone, and paired up my phone. even with no antenna connected (ive ordered the wire that connects the antenna to the module)

The system recognizes my phone, if i place it in the cup holder. I suspect that when i connect the antenna it will work much better.

I also noticed that the voice recognition stuff all works too! i can use it to dial numbers, turn the system on, or off. etc.
lots of fun, no repinning or any coding required!
happy camper here!
FYI it was probably the easiest retrofit i have done! next to the compass mirror!
