Cingular Siemens SX66 via bluetooth

Has anyone tried or been successful in connecting the Cingular Siemens SX66 phone via Bluetooth?

It's been tested to work on the newer Motorola Assist/BT module. It works fine with good communication quality, but transfers only the contacts on the SIM-card. I haven't heard feedback yet from anyone that has tried it with the pre-2004 Visteon module.

UCrewX5,
How do I know if I have the newer Moto Assist/BT Module?? Is it std equip on all MY05 5-series?

Also, can you explain the discrepancies between this compatibility list and posts on bimmerfest.com and e60.net that cite numerous instances of Pocket-PC and Blackberry phones not working with BMW BT.

On a 2005, if you have Assist then you also have BT. If you don't have Assist then more than likely you don't have BT.

As for the discrepancies, my list is compiled based on the personal experiences of others and the feedback that I receive on this. I can't speak for other lists. One thing I've been contemplating is splitting the list into compatibility with the Visteon module (Pre-2004) and the Motorola module (Post-2004). I haven't had the time to do this, unfortunately.

hmm.... I couldn't get mine to work (I have the newer BT/Assist module), I have the Sprint version of this phone. Both are made by HPC, I think the only difference is the cingular version has 802.11b wireless.
SX66 BlueAngel
PPC 6600 Harrier

Jeff, I don't see this phone on the compatiblity list... are you sure someone has confirmed it works? there are some other Siemens' phones listed that are are compatible.

I couldn't get my phonebook to transfer, not even the SIM Card contacts), on my Cingular Siemens SX66 to work on my 07/05 production date X5. I was able to pair and use the phone however.

The solution may be to simply use the phone's contact section as the phonebook. These guys http://www.thepocketsolution.com/sto...c=Siemens_SX66 have a nice holder for the SX66.
