I would recommend where ever you get it from, make sure you get a new generation ULF module instead of the old first gen version.

Just my two cents.

I agree with that. Unfortunately, most BMW dealers will offer the -552, the 1st generation ULF which will work, but it does not have the latest firmware. It doesn't support SMS.

The pairing is very fast with the -522 ULF module which what I got from Martin (I believe one of the more recent ULF version).If you do have a GSM phone, it will support SMS as well.
