Need cheaper solution to Bluetooth...

I have a 2001 X5 prewired for a phone with adapter underneath armrest, 16:9 screen and MK4 NAV.
$650 is a little high for me right now for a BT kit, and my question is, what parts/units do I need to install BT in my car?
I need the ULF module, Ebay has it, how about anenna? Anything else?

You need the ULF module, the BT antenna and antenna cable, a microphone if you don't already have one, and the ULF interface cable. You can't do anything without this custom made interface cable that adapts the DB25 plug you currently have in your X to fit the connection on the module. In addition, you will also need the eject box and snap-in adapter if you want to mount your phone under the armrest. I would also strongly suggest that you also get the OEM ULF mounting bracket to achieve a stealth install.

Nice parts list, SG! Out of curiosity, how much would all that run, ballpark?

Depends on year etc...but about $565 to $670 + microphone ~$50 + snap-in adapter ~$50 + ULF mounting bracket ~$10.00. His 01' may also require an extension cable for armrest mounting.

So basically, it's a better idea (and even may be cheaper) to go with the kit. Microphone I already have, I thought the snap-in adapter is about $120, where did you find it for $50?
Will I need the extension cable for armrest mounting since my car came prewired with phone?
Thanks

Sorry, I confused the price of the eject box with the snap in price. You are closer on the price for the snap-in. If you pull the armrest apart and have both the electrical plug and either a purple fakra or mini coax cable under there, then you are good 2 go. If you have the mini coax cable, then you will also need a mini-coax to fakra adapter cable. Take a look first and see what you have.

Just my 0.02 cents. Make sure you get a newer ULF module. Even if you have to find the ULF on ebay, the newer ones are worth the extra money
