address loaded, but voice wont work??

I did get my blackberry 7250 to load with my address book. I had to update to version 4.1.028 or something... anyway the address is in and i can scroll up and dial, but the voice button on the wheel does nothing. What am i missing?? help. chucker

The voice function is for dialing numbers that you have manually (via voice) loaded into the system. If you are scrolling the numbers in your address book you only need to hit the button with the icon of a speaking face quickly (don't need to keep it depressed) to initiate the phone conversation. Give it another quick press and release to terminate the phone conversation.

i can do that, but i thought these things were "voice recognition" my voice button does nothing if i hold it in for 3 seconds, i get no beeps or anything. thanks in advance. chucker
