Switch from bluetooth to handheld while driving (Razr)

Can someone tell me how to switch the phone from bluetooth over to the handheld (Razr) phone while driving? I know there is an option on the phone but when I choose that option I can use the handheld for about 2 seconds and then it automatically switches back to the handsfree option.

Thanks

On the Razr go to:

BluetoothLink --> Setup --> Power --> Off

By turning the Bluetooth off on the phone it will force the connection from the vehicle back to the phone until you turn the phone's Bluetooth option back on.

Will I have to re-pair the phone again when I do this?

While still talking on the phone press the menu button on the Razr, you will see the option which reads "Use handset" select it and it will switch to handheld. Alternatively you can also go "Use bluetooth" . I do it all the time when my journey has ended but I am still talking or someone else is in the car and I want privacy.

No. Simply turning the Bluetooth back on the phone is all you would need to do.
