Nokia 6280
Can anyone tell me how well the 6280 does with BMW BT? I have an 03 Z4 but assume that if it works on an X5 then it should be fine on the Z. Have seen lots of other threads about problems between Nokias and BMW so would be great if someone could confirm - does Phonebook automatically sync, speech quality, SMS etc. Thanks |

Just got this phone yesterday. Pairs Ok, Transfers phone book but disconnects and reconnects every 20 seconds.
Anyone got an answer for this problem? I'll hold of till we find if it is compatible.

Hi SAC
You may want to check none of the following apply (this is from BMW troubleshooting guide), as these can all apparently cause this problem: High number of SMS messages in your phone's memory High number of phonebook entries High number of Bluetooth devices registered in your phone. After checking this, can you confirm the phone still doesn't work properly? Thanks alot! |

Mikee,
I tried it with no SMS's and only about 50 contacts stored. I have a few Bluetooth devices on it but I will delete them today and try again. I am also checking with nokia to see if there is a firmware update. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks SAC
I bought this phone recently, but have had to wait for the SIM card to become live, so will also be testing it out later - doesn't sound promising - i will also keep you posted. |

My 6280 appears to work perfectly.
Pairs easily and quickly, phonebook transferred automatically, no problems. The only function that doesn't seem to work is SMS, but I don't think there are many phones that do work with this. |

Mikee, I had no luck. I have the lastest firmware in the phone.
If you could, find out what version of ULF you have. (Bluetooth Module). There is an article somewhere here on how to find out. Thanks.

Sorry, been busy, haven't had a chance to check this yet. How do I find out the ULF version? |
