Moto v635 test drive this weekend...

Picking up this phone this afternoon. Hoping it is fully compatible with the BT/Assist module in my March '05 build X5 4.4. If successful, the next step is to see if I can find an eject box and snap-in adapter that fits...hopefully it's the same as the v600

Anybody tried a v635 yet?

haven't tried it myself but it will work. there's a great chance that it'll fit the snap-in adapter too. the dimensions are a little off of the v600, but so is the v620, which i use with a snap in with no problems.

I suspect you're right...and I really want it to work as this is a great phone. I had very poor results with the BB 7250 and Moto v710 I tried (both CDMA service providers). This v635 is GSM...

SUCCESS...phone works flawlessly. Add another phone to the list of compatible BT phones for the X5. Works with all steering controls and automatically downloads the phonebook. Still need to confirm that it fits in the V600 docking cradle...

Cool, I added it to the list. I'm certain it will work fine in the snap-in adaptor.

Yes it does work with the car perfectly The V600 Snap in adaptor does work with the V635 had mine for over 2 months now !!!

I think the phone itself is pretty poor but is a small price to pay for it working perfectly with the car!

I'm surprised you don't like the phone, it's probably one of the best I've ever owned and seems to be getting rave reviews in general. What are its weaknesses in your opinion?

The call quality is not very good compaired to other phones I have owned although this is using the phone outside the car in the car is much better. I also find the battery life is real bad if i did not have the snap in adaptor would always be flat I also find the menu had to find what I want but I am used to S.E

Help V635

I just got the V635 and have some problems connecting. The phone and the car will reconized each other, however, after entering in the PIN of 0000 for both car and phone, I get this unable to connect message on the phone.

On the BMW capatible list lists a snap in number for the v635 what is that?
I have a 2005 545i.

Please provide some insights as this is becoming very frustrating because I love both the car and the phone.

Thanks!!!

You have to type the pin number for the bluetooth that you get in the car comes on a card you get with the car! it is not 0000 that is the pass key for the phone

Good luck
