Buzzing / Hissing Noise
I have just got an '04 X5, with Nav & Bluetooth, but I have a problem.... I have a constant buzzing / hissing noise coming through the speakers ( even with the ignition turned off)... After doing some research it appears that this is a problem that can be caused by the bluetooth unit???? I took the car back to the dealers today and they said that it is acceptable noise, however, I won't accept this on a £35k car. Can anybody PLEASE help me to cure this, it's driving me mad!! Thanks! |

Try pulling the fuse just for the "telephone" See your fuse card for the exact fuse. This would isolate the problem to the TCU itself.
I've also seen this problem mainly manifest itself from the "standalone" Voice control modules as well. |

OK - thanks...
Can somebody please help with the location of the fuse, I don't have a fuse card and my manual just explains where the fuses are. Many thanks. |

..just re-read my last post...
what I meant to say was the manual just explains the locations of the fuse 'boxes',not what each fuse is.. |

well, took the car back the dealer today and they tracked it down to a faulty 'centre console'....they're going to replace it under warranty, so problem solved...
