bluetooth volume and speaker question

I just did the conversion on my 02 4.4i and my wife complains that the sound only comes from the driver's side floor speaker and that she has to "strain" to hear anything when she calls someone. Is this common or a setting I can change for her, are there other options?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am pretty sure that the driver's door speaker is the only one that gets the phone audio output. I think that there are some techniques to increase phone volume, but it is phone specific. Try searching here and on the bimmerboard BT forum.

Did you get the phone book to transfer?

Yes. Although I didn't realize that the voice dialing phonebook that is built into the car isn't sync'ed w/ the voice dialing that is built into the phone. Duh for me, but I guess I never really thought about it.

Can you view SMS messages on a nav screen with the L7?

I don't have nav. I haven't tried seeing if it'll show the sms on the display though.

Phone audio should come from both the left and right front speakers. No phone audio should be heard from the rear speakers.

It appears to only be coming from the driver's side, is there anything I can do to make this better?
