Bluetooth connection cycling

Has anyone seen a problem like this.

I have a 06 X5 which came bluetooth equipt. Been using a Nokia 6310i with the latest firmware for 4 months with no problems at all. Last week the bluetooth connection started dropping and reconnecting every approx 30 seconds. If I deleted and repaired the phone it would hold a connection till I next cycled the cars ignition. Also tried two other pretty recent nokia phones with the same problem.

I'm going to pull the power on the ULF, then visit the dealer. Anyone had similar problems?

Chris.

sounds like you may need to have the dealer replace the TCU (aka, the ULF)

Update to this.

Tried a few phones and 2/3 of them had the same cycling connection.

I pulled the wiring socket out of the ULF and left it for a few minutes before plugging it back it. The bluetooth connection is now solid which points towards the ULF as the problem, not the phone.

Car still has 2.5 year warranty so will take it to the dealer when it next happens.

Chris.
