BMW 84 10 6 987 546 ULF module
I just installed the BMW 84 10 6 987 546 ULF module in a 2003 X5, and it works GREAT.

Biggest changes are faster bluetooth connection in pairing and phone connection, Larger phonebook storage, plus faster. Better handsfree voice quality and faster loading of phonebook.

I have only been using the system one day and have not found any more voice commands yet.

SMS support over bluetooth is a function of the phone. If you want to mail me your phone and send it an SMS, I would be happy to take a picture

SMS works with my Sony Ericsson, but I know some phones do not support that feature

Don't suppose you have an Nokia 8800 handy to test with it do you ?

You haven't come across anyone using an 8800 with any sucess have you ?
