Angry contacts are ass-backwards

Can someone out there help me pair my contact list properly?
They now appear in order of the persons first names.
Thanks

What program are you using? Outlook? ACT? Outlook Express? Thunderbird?

Are you saying they are appearing "first name, last name" (rather than last name, first name)? Is this on the computer or the iPhone? I would love to help, but you are not telling me clearly where the problem exists.

If you are having this incorrectly on Outlook on the computer, look here:
Open Outlook, go to Contacts. Select "Tools", then "Options". First tab (Preferences), then "Contact Options". Make sure "default file as order" is set to Last, First.

Next, go back to Tools, then Account Settings. Then "Address Books" Double click "Outlook Address Book". Select "Contacts-Personal Folders". Make sure it says "File as Smith, John".

Let me know if this fixes it for you. If not, please clarify your problem.
