Just got my V710 snap in from UPS

Well actually it came from Crevier, but UPS delivered it. Will test it out tonight and get back to y'all.

FYI part # 84-21-0-393-570

I have an 11/03 build 2004. Is my internal antenna wired up or do I need to make some connections somewhere?

Post pics of the unit once you have installed.

it isn't, at least not for use with BT. the antenna is being used for bmw Asssist. you'll have to install one but it shouldn't be difficult.

I am too impatient and I ran downstairs to test it out. My snap in snaps in, but something isn't right. The phone isn't charging, and the antenna in the car isn't working. I guess I need to check the connections on the snap in cradle to see if everything is connected.

Regardless, here are some pics.

How do we do that? And can I steal the Assist antenna for use with the BT? My Assist module is in a box in my garage so the antenna in the car isn't doing much good.

Looks great!!

Okay, question, should I get the -522 BT Module and retrofit it to my 2001 and get the snap-in and therefore, everything should work? Or shall I attempt to retrofit 2005 BT/Assist combo to my 2001?

Where shall I get the BT module retrofit kit, from Bimmernav.com or Parag's place?

Currrently, I also have CPT 8000 kit that I want to remove.

Unfortunately I can't answer any of those questions. There are many people far more knowledgeable that should have some answers for you.

I still need to figure out why my snap in isn't functioning correctly and what i need to do to get it working right.
