Just got TCU recall letter from BMWNA
I just got a letter from BMWNA telling me the TCU in my car "might malfunction." The reference was to the Assist portion of the unit and not the Bluetooth. In any case, they want me to take it to the dealer for replacement. Has anyone else gotten this letter? Jose |

Hey mfrymier,
Let us know how it goes. I'm interested to find out if they replace the part. And if they do, if they replace it with the same generation, newer, or even older!. As timing goes, the TCU in my truck broke down a few weeks ago (before I got the letter). I took it to the dealer and they replaced it with an older part! Read this link I posted earlier about that. I had this done... they just "update" your TCU with some programming. It doesn't change anything you will see.

Anyone else get this letter and take their cars in? I'm curious if anyone got their TCU replaced for a newer version.
