caughtbluehanded.com install
for a few weeks now I've been using the bluetooth kit from caughtbluehanded.com It works well with my bluetooth phone - has steering wheel integration to allow placing and receiving calls; audio comes thr' the BMW speakers and install is a snap. The price is right too. This kit should work with any early X5 (with 25 way phone connector, I *think* this is models up until about 3/02) and with any bluetooth phone that supports handfree/headset profile. I've prepared an install document and UCrewX5 has posted it here : caughtbluehanded Bluetooth install in '00 X5 Scotty |

Hi Kewl, thanks for the comment on the article. Thanks to UCrewX5 for doing the conversion from PDF to HTML and posting it.
I am the first to install this kit in an X and I am happy. Its REALLY nice to have the X 'pair' within moments of turning the ignition on. The guys at caughbluehanded.com were really helpful and addressed a small issue I noticed with their interface and quickly gave me new a software download. (other than being a satisfied customer; I have no $$$ relationship to this company) |
