Tried it agian to make sure I was doing it right but I get to step 2 and the vehicle nevers asks for the passkey, just says activate phone. I have the BT enabled on the BB.

Hi, my 8700g paired up straight away with no probs...
Did you turn the ignition key to pos 1 before you pressed the pairing button? The instructions aren't clear in the post about this and if you didn't the car system thinks you are trying to make a call, and of course the phone isn't there so it asks for you to activate it... Cheers
