i changed my mind!

for whatever reason, i did not have bluetooth initially installed in my 07 x5 - mainly because at the time, it only supported older bluetooth phones and i didn't much expect iphone support.

obviously, i was totally wrong.

so, my question now is - is there anyway i can get bluetooth installed and have it integrated with idrive at this point? or am i screwed? i spoke with a dude @ bmw customer relations and he pretty much couldn't give me any straight answers. i've done some quick research around the net but haven't found any solid answers there either.

anyone? or should i shutup and go down to the dealer and ask them?

so do u have option code sa640 but not sa639? whats the last 7 digits of ur vin? is it a US car? Do you have telephone buttons on the steering wheel? it will be expensive to retrofit bluetooth after the fact. You will need to replace the TCU (telephone module) with a TCU which has BMW assist with integrated bluetooth. You will prob also need a Bt antenna. depending on your vehicle options you may need more components. Also you will definitely need retrofit coding.

I dont know if you can order a European ULF module for e70. I know you can for e90. this may be an option too.
