As I understand it, my phone won't work

I've got the Motorola MPx220, a Windows CE based smartphone through Cingular. It has Bluetooth as a feature, but if I understand the hours of reading I have done, and the fruitless attempts to get the X to recognize the phone, I'm SOL in trying to pair this phone to the X.

Am I right about this? Or is there some special aftermarket source I need to check out? Yes, I have BMW Assist on my '05 X5 (mfd in 2005), and - I think - everything I would need short of an in-car cradle.

Thanks
