Windows Mobile/Smart phone/Pocket PC

Hi
I just got a HTCS710 Windows Mobile 6 and as can be forund in the X5 World it does not connect on the BMW X5 phone. But when I installed the Jetware program it connect and transfere the phone book as well as Outlook mails/SMS.
The program is easy to install and there are a 30 days trial periode. But it is less than $15 so nobody should be ruined.
I found it easy to install wia the phone internet explorer http://www.jetwaremobile.com
Go to install and select the phone operation system (Windows Mobile 5 and 6, Smartphone or Pocket PC) and wola its done. You than can access the setup in the programs and do the settings you want.

According to another reply on this forum is:
"None of the Symbian OS phones seem to work with the BMW Bluetooth system. The best you can hope for is that they connect, but address book transfer is hopeless."
I hade a HP Ipaq before and it connected ok but it was impossible to transfer the address book.

Well, that's a bit strange. Maybe it's the generation of ULF you're using. I have an XDA Trion (AKA HTC Hermes), running WM6, and it pulled the phone book out of the phone straight away !

Mines a 7th gen ULF if this helps.

Cheers. Kev.

Yes it worked fine but I have change the phone to first to Nokia E71 wher I used the same JETware and again to iPhone where I did not need the JETware. Yes you can read both SMS and exchange maile in the car display as well as reply.

are you saying one can view sms on the car monitor with Nokia E71 and iPhone? (what generation iPhone, by the way?

I thought that earlier you were referring to Win Mobile device and my initial question was regarding that, but now I am curios if nokia and iphone can do the trick as well.

please confirm
