Combo BT/Assist to ULF upgrade

Hello

I have a 2006 X5 (E53) and I'm in the process of changing my old BT/Assist module for a new 13 generation ULF module; as I do wanted the VR feature and BMW Assist is not working in Spain, this option seemed perfect for me.

In fact when it arrived, I was able just to replace the old TCU (BT/Assist module) by the brand new ULF. VR feature was working, but the pairing button was not.

It's worth to say that with the old TCU the pairing button was working on the same way it should be with the ULF: Contact off - press the pairing button - contact on - release the pairing button.

I was advised that if grounded pin #32 the ULF should enter in pairing mode. I did that and..... BINGO!!! I was able to pair my two phones using this tricky system.

Despite I already have my two phones paired I would like to finish this. So I was guessing if someone would know wich of the wires should I put in pin #32 to make the pairing button again. The way I see it is that the TCU and the ULF use a different pin to connect to ground, and enter the pairing mode.

Any idea, suggestion etc.... will be greatly appreciated

Regards from Spain.

Jujo

See below (just if any doubts) pictures of the old TCU and the new ULF
