I was shocked today I managed to pair my 3g I phone with my 05 X5 Today and it works fine I even get phone book transfer ! Although I did leave some old numbers from previous phone. What was really interesting my previous I phone ie 1st gen did not work kept re conecting all the time and no phone book transfer at all.

Jumping back to your original question, yes, you can easily pair your HTC Mobile Windows devices with your X5! I have paired my Touch and Mogul with my 05 and they both upload the entire contact list. Even the signal strength option works like a charm.

The signal strength option is accessed by going into the telephone mode on the MID by presssing the "TEL" button and then choosing the "menu" option. You will see an "info" option which will show you further options for "signal strength" and "call duration" . I have used this on my Mogul which apparently supports these functions. I suspect that some phones may not support these extra functions, but give it a try!
