Palm Treo stopped working

Hi all! I am a newbie. I have searched this site and haven't found an answer to my question.

I have a 2006 X5 4.4i 2/2006 production. My unapproved Verizon Palm Treo stopped working via bluetooth since my brake lining light came on (brakes are done now and light is reset). It pairs but then when I go to look at the phonebook it reads "Call Service Center". I tried an approved phone and Bluetooth works fine. Anyone know what caused it to stop working?

I think I am going to let the car go to sleep and then disconnect the battery for 20 minutes and see what happens.

Thanks in advance!
