'07 X5 iPhone 3G Contact duplicates removed?

I bought a 3G iphone and have a July '07 X5 (so after the integration fixes).

It works fine with blue tooth. Almost. Two quirks, wondering if someone else has seen.

The first is that if there are multiple, separate contacts with the same phone number, only one of them appears. E.g.

Ben - Home number X, mobile Y
Bob - Home number X, mobile Z

On car, it shows

Ben Home X
Ben Mobile Y
Bob Mobile Z

It seems random which is omited, I do not mean to imply it is the last.

It's annoying.

The other is a minor issue but also annoying. On my Blackberry Curve, the contact names came up as

First Last Number

But were sorted by Last Name. So if I wanted to call John Smith I could say "Dial John Smith", but if I searched on the control by letters, I would find Smith under "S".

With the iPhone, if I have it set to sort by first name, I get the "John Smith" form, but the A-Z list is by first not last name. if restore that by sorting by last name, I have to say "Dial Smith John".

There's a "Display" separate from Sort on the iPhone, but it seems to have no impact.

Are these two things seen by others? Or am I missing something?
