Maybe....I'll check w/my son today and get back to you...

Have to run out on errands....no time to discuss....

We use Verizon.

I think this is the unit my son just got and we were at the Beem dealer two days ago for a part and he was talking to a friend on his new LG and when he got into my 05 4.4 the phone just cut out on him and the next thing we know we are on the truck speakers with his caller....most strange.

He had entered my handshake code some days ago. I don't think the truck will pick up the address book from this phone....

I'll come back to you on this....as I also am in the mkt for a BT phone and don't want a big hassle with the dang thing....

Regards

Talking

Apparently, the new Verizon Motorola E815 pairs up and transfer the address book well with BMW Bluetooth. Also, it was awarded PC Mag's editor choice for a Verizon cellphone (so when did PC Mag start rating cellphones?) SuperGreg just got one and he can confirm the BMW BT function on his X5.

LG and Moto phones....

Still haven't caught up w/my son to ask him about his LG. Weird work schedule and he was after some perps and couldn't talk when I called him. And then when he's off work he's surfing and usually doesn't carry the phone in his wetsuit....typical.

Got my wife's Moto 710 address book downloaded today and in handshake mode with the truck. I thought it was totally cool.

Not that cool, I guess....now I find that I will have to unhandshake it and delete the address book.

Wife absolutely hates it because it highjacks her phone the minute she plops into her seat and she has no control over it....she needs, nay, MUST have the phone tightfistedly crammed into her ear to function. And this is from someone who is a computer geek (she has 4 Macs and 2 PCs in the house on a wireless network) but who still refuses to use online bill pay. Typical Technoluddite....

Oh boy....

Kewl X5...Thanks for the link to the PCmag review. The Moto 815 looks real good to me. I think I'll pick one up tomorrow.
