You might not need the phone cradle to pair your phone. I have an 2006 X5 3.0 w/o the nav and all I needed to do was get a code to hook it up. As soon as you turn on your X5 the bluetooth is working, you have about 2 minutes or so to link your phone after that. Go through your phone settings as soon as you turn on your vehicle and find the one that "searches for bluetooth device". If your phone finds it your are almost done. For me, since I did not have the nav I needed to enter a code on my phone to complete the link and pairing process, but since you have the nav the steps for yours might be a little different. Go to the BMWUSA web site and look around. They have some instructional videos on how to link your bluetooth. That's were I learned how to do mine. Below is a link to those videos.
