Hello

I am thinking of getting this phone also, but it will be the HTC Eris on Verizon. What problems are you having? Pairing ? Making / recieving calls ? Phonebook transfer ? What version of the TCU / ULF do you have in your car?

Thanks,
dmoney98

My mistake.........all working fine now ! I needed to zap the previous pairings (button for 3secs, ignition 1, release button, button for 10 secs, 3 beeps, ignition 0) and then both android based HTC's worked fine with the pairing and synching of phonebooks.

This was for the HTC Hero and the HTC Tattoo.

Good luck !

Er.......if you can tell me where to find that info, I'll let you know ! Are you referring to the bluetooth module that sits in the boot ?

yes, that's the one (it can be determined by the part number on the module...

any glitches, problems? how about viewing sms on the screen of the car (like Sony Ericsson offers that)

Had a quick look, whilst filling the X5 with loads of junk for part 2 of Xmas/New Year break ! Is it the small silver rectangle at the top of the stack with about 4 leads coming from it ? If so then there's only a 0681 designation on the top. If its not that I'll take a look in a few days.

Phonebook syncs ok - although I can't seem to select a number and call from the car........er....which is rather annoying. I seem to have to use the phone to make a call......this could of course be me........I tend to use my bike on a daily basis. I've tried both the phone button on the SatNav console and steering wheel controls........I'll have a play on my 250mile journey this morning.

I'll also check SMS but I really doubt it.........

Happy New Year.

Hi there, yes in synch's fine, but on my E53 I can't make a call by selecting a number on SatNav and using either satnav control or steering wheel control - I have to initiate the call via the handset.......which is pretty useless. Its also a little flakey at reconnecting to the car if, for example, you wander back into the house to pick something up and go out of BT range........
In in all........it works........but only just.

I'm afraid I can't answer for the newer SatNav systems, which include the texting option.

Chris
