Poor bluetooth calls sound quality
I'm using a Motorola Droid Turbo. I have the phone paired, it shares contacts and connects to phone calls. I can navigate my phone book through the nav screen and the dash display. The call button works for starting and ending calls. Everyting works great except for one thing. The sound quality I hear is absolute garbage. I can hear everything, but it sounds almost static like. It's actually more like robo-voice. It acts like if you're playing music on a bluetooth speaker and start walking out of range. It starts to break up. People on the other end can hear me clearly, but it sounds bad and sounds worse if I turn up the volume. All audio through the stereo sounds fine. Radio, voice prompts, navigation, etc. Crystal clear. The only problem is when I'm on the phone. I have adjusted the bluetooth volume on the phone from minimum to maximum, no change. I have unpaired, repaired, and even factory reset my phone. No change. I moved my phone to the back where the bluetooth module is, to see if it's a reception issue. Nothing changed. I have tried my wife's phone, an iPhone 6S on it, and it does the same thing. So I have concluded it's not a phone issue. Is there something I can look at, reset, adjust, replace, etc. to fix this problem? I saw something about resetting the bluetooth module by unplugging it for a few seconds. Would this potentially fix it? Is there an external bluetooth antenna I need to look at?
