2006 Ejector and Cradle

Sent this as an email to TripleX5 for help, but maybe someone on the board can answer it? I am quite frustrated.

Thanks.

Hi There,

I tried reading the threads and couldn't quite get the answer I needed so I decided to ask you directly. I hope you dont mind.

Anyway, I have a 2006 4.8is. I took my ejector box and cradle from my 2004 4.4i (387 module) and tried installing them in to my 2006. (Phone is a Moto 815) I am getting no power from the ejector. It seems that my problem is one of three possible issues and I wanted to know if you could tell me which one.

1. My ejector box has the pairing button. Can this be made to work with my 2006 or do I simply need to order a new ejector box. If a new box is needed, which part number do I actually need?

2. An older X5 (not the 04) needed to have some wires connected under the center console. I dont think this is necessary any more, but could you confirm that?

3. I need to move the pins on the ejector cable around. 5 to 10 and 2 to 17.

Can you let me know which of these you think is my issue? I am very frustrated.

Thanks so much for your help.

J.
