multiple phone connectivity

I have a 2005 E53 X5 with nav, tv and bluetooth

my iphone 3gs connects fine.
the missus has just got an iphone 4 and that connects fine.

Q: can both phones be connected to the bluetooth at the same time?

Obviously to not try and take calls at the same time but maybe to be able to make or receive calls on either phone whilst driving.

thanks

Dubs

No. Bluetooth can only be connected to one phone at a time. However you should be able to pair up to 4 (later models 8) phones. The car will connect to the first phone it sees, or the last phone it paired to (later models the ignition key defines which phone should be connected).
