Blackberry 7250 and BMW bluetooth

Guys,

I have heard horror stories with BMW ULF modules and pairing with the blackberry 7250 (4.0.2). I just had my 2002 4.6is coded for bluetooth with the intentions of using a V710 or E815. I tried to pair it with my BB 7250 just to see what would happen. I assumed that it would not work...and the first time...it did not. I tried it one more time (I am stubborn) and it worked. Spent 2 hours on the phone and never had a problem with it. The address list did not transfer, but we all expected that...I was just very shocked that it worked at all. Also..when you turn the car off or the phone off..as soon as everything is powered up...it automatically pairs...

Cool, glad it worked for you. BTW, the pairing is a one time deal. Once you pair up a phone, it is stored in memory and re-pairing is not necessary.

Yes...I am aware of that. I have two phones paired with it. My BB 7250 and my wifes V710. Both phones work great, but the 710 transfers the list the way it is supposed to.

After owning my BB 7250 for almost a year now and NEVER getting it to work with my 2005 X5 w/BT...I downloaded a recent software upgrade from my cell service provider and voila...works fine. Everything EXCEPT phonebook transfer. Evidentally, s/w versions 4.02 and higher allow stable connections to the BMW BT modules, and s/w versions 4.1 and higher also allow phonebook transfers (there is no version 4.1 available for the 7250 yet).
