Bluetooth retrofit on 03 X5 with -387 ULF

Do I need to have it re-coded by the stealer with DISPlus/DT1 after install? TIA

It doesn't hurt to have it recoded, but you shouldn't need to do so.

I can't get to display "BLUETOOTH PAIRING" after following the instructions in the BMW Bluetooth Installation to pair your mobile phone.
I have the ignition off, hold the button on the new insert tray for at least 1 second, then turn the ignition key on while holding the button for another 2-3 seconds and nothing happen. What could be my problem? I followed IFlyX5 to retrofit my X. Jeff thanks again. .............. e~

If you read through my install write-up you will see that I experienced the same thing. Let it sit for a while and try again. Next time, though, try holding down the tray button for a few more seconds before turning on the ignition key, and keep holding it a few more seconds after the ignition is on. It'll happen, I'm sure.

Thank you very much Jeff, I got it working. Holding it down a little longer did the trick.

Now how do you remove the phone #s stored by the previous owner of this ULF?

Guess what, by accident my 1st phone call was to the PO's area code, a lady answered must one of his lady friends.

Thanks again.................... e~

Well you already have her number. When is your first date with her?

You can reset the module - deleting everything in it. You get to the BT Pairing stage as you did before. Then press the button again and hold it until you hear beeping - after one or two beeps release the button and it should say "reset" on the screen. You will have to hold the button about 20 seconds or so.
