Sony Err. K608i - Is it compatable ?

Hi,
Two weeks aga I bought a brand new X5, but to my dissapointment, my Sony K608i will not pair with the car !! The car says 'pairing successful' but the phone says 'the other device must enter the same code' and I have to turn the handset off to make it stop ! And when I turn the handset back on, it hasnt paired with the car.

Can anyone help ???

PLEASE ????

Cheers

pj

So far I haven't received any feedback that it is compatible. If you get it working, let us know.

Thanks

I have been to my local BMW dealer, but all they done was go through the same procedure as I did, realised it didn't work, as I had said, and just said that my phone must be incompatable and didnt seem interested in taking my request for help any further ! I thought they would at least contact bmw with a technical query !

just for information. I have K700i on a 2005 X5 and it works fine. No problems at all.

Might be obvious but the code on phone is refering to the code of the X5. Usually last few digits of VIN number.

Might help! good luck.

Hi,

Is your K700i a 3g phone ?

And how do I enter the last 4 digits of the vin so that the phone is happy ?

Cheers

The K700i is not a 3G phone !

You should have a card with a four digit number on it which is your pass code to pair with the car you must enter this on the phone to get it to pair but your dealer shoulkd have done this right so I guess the phone is not compatable.
