I've been using my X5 bluetooth with my phone for the past 2 years with no significant issues. Suddenly today, when I turned the car on and the phone was with me I noticed all bluetooth lights were off (as if paired and connected), but my phone would not connect/see the car. Bluetooth completely stopped working. I then noticed that my radio was acting funny and it seems to have gone into a reset mode itself and back running within 10 seconds or so, but the bluetooth function is still not available.
Tried resetting the connections and pairing, but the unit seems to be totally out of reach. Is there a way to hard reset my bluetooth module and/or my radio module? or does anyone know what could have happended? I am suspecting something happened on vehicle startup. Thank you |

That sounds like you may have a bigger electrical problem. It is possible you have a bad ignition switch or bad battery. Often times, you will see odd system symptoms long before the car has trouble starting. The electronics are highly sensitive to voltage drops.
