Nokia 3G
I found exactly this issue with all the Nokia 3G's they use the newer symbian OS which is not totally compatible - allows you to receive / make calls but no phone book transfer. I now have a Sony Ericsson K608 which is 3G and is perfect with phone book transfer and receives SMS's.
Your reconnect / disconnect could be down to the number of SMS messages you have...try removing them all (inbox / sent etc) and see if that helps Steve |

Tested a Nokia 6280 3G on the weekend with a 2005 e53 BT ULF (no nav)and it did everything except SMS display. Connected fine, auto-synched the phonebook and made and received multiple calls without dropping the BT connection. Note that this model runs Nokia Series 40 OS. The N70/N90 etc run Series 60 Symbian OS and apparently don't work with BMW BT. Damn.

Hello
Just bought a brand new X5 3.0d with comms package. And a new nokia N70. I pair the two up, input the bluetooth code into the phone and the the message paired procceded ( or somthing like that ) appears. thats as far as it goes. I have 5 days left to send the phone back if i cant get it to connect. Has any one got a N70 to work yet. Dont mind if the phonebook dosent load just want to use hands free.
