bluetooth mic not working, replace whole module?
Mic doesn't work as the other people can't hear me but I can hear them (2 different phones). 2 dealers have already found it to be the mic and I finally got around to getting it fixed but this dealer says you can't just replace the mic. The whole module overhead needs to be replaced plus it needs reprogramming. 2 hours labor plus parts. Are they just trying to pad their $$$ or is this [close to] the truth? It's an E70 2008 X5.

They are trying to stiff you. It is a small 2 x 3/4 inch size part that just snaps into the bigger panel over your head. It has a 3 wire plug. Nothing to code. It is $50 to 60 online. Borrow one from a friend to test. They are common on all the BMWs for the last 8-10 years.

Anyone know the part number for the mic? No one can hear me and the BT module is not very old in my 07 4.8i. Want to get it replaced but can not find it on GetBMWParts.com
