I met with Dension CEO at Mac World Expo

While walking through the expo, there was an area with several automobiles that had different vendors providing iPod interfaces. Different pillars in that area had different vendor names. There was one for Dension, and standing right beside it was the Dension CEO. I spoke with him for a few minutes and asked him what was coming.

He wouldn't come out and say what exactly, but he did say when - about two months. It sounded as if they were trying to pull the text off the iPod screen and drive that to the auto displays somehow.

If any of you are at the show and have a chance to meet him - maybe you can get have better luck getting more details (it was a zoo today).

I briefly spoke with him as well. Mentioned that I was hoping to see a BMW there as a demo, but I didn't much more info today. I may be back on Thursday to ask for more specific questions

I had said no in a previous post but at the presant price point I may have to reconsider. My rig is almost 4 years old and I could use the horse power for some of my music software. Also seeing that laptop perform in HD resoloution was also impressive. So much to consider. I'm dissapointed that theres no firewire 800 ports. I guess I need to find out the reasoning. Too bad your going back so soon. Would have been nice to hook up.

There's a few things we're going to release on the market. Pertaining to the X5 will be High Definition Radio and some "secret" tweaks to the ice>Link kit.

That's all I can say for now - I should have more info I can release by next week in respect to Dension.

so would that be an upgrade to existing units or would that be on new ones?
