How the 3G Shutdown in 2022 Could Screw Your Car

Relevant to many I'd think, no?

Honestly, I'm finding difficulty in caring myself, as I've never used the BMW assist service, and I really prefer NOT having my vehicle accessible online..

I'm with you. Our F15 is capable of BMW Connected Drive but we never tried to activate it. Not sure about our E70.

But there are a lot of people who are pissed about this. The most affected feature from what I've been reading is the RTT on the navigation. Apparently it's pretty good at selecting routes that Waze and Google don't which ultimately saves time. From what I've read anyway. Was curious to try it but guess I'll never get the opportunity unless I buy a 4G capable F15... which I have no plans of doing.
