The definitive iPodquestion... maybe

I'm seriously considering an '06 4.4 with the Nav and the cd changer. I also have an iPod video. Now, after sifting through assorted threads, I hear the IceLink is the way to go for hooking up the iPod to my truck.
1) Now is it true that I can hook it up in such a way that will allow me to keep the use of the cd changer? Yea, I figure I'll not really use it, but I figure the occasional trip to the cd store and my impatience to listen to the CD, or the odd friend who hops it with his latest mix of music on CD the changer would still be handy.
2)Now, I thought I ran across a thread somewhere that mentioned that I could ouput the video of my iPod video to the Nav screen. Now is this true? Any help, links, pictures of said setup would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sorry if this has been posted before (and I'm sure it has), but I wanted the all in one answer.
