02/02 X5 4.4 sirius/ipod install items????

I've been reading and reading, I've talked with Tom at EAS and others. Here is my situation.

I have an x5 4.4i, built 02/02, has dsp audio, but no nav and no changer. I want to add sirius and an ipod interface to it and I'm under the impression you can do this with a retrofit of a few (or more) parts.

I'd like to piecemeal this unit together instead of buying the items all brand new to save money, but I don't know exactly which parts (or part #'s) to look for (other than the icelink plus from EAS).

Lastly, my wet dream is to retrofit a nav system but Tom indicates this is a VERY expensive alternative, although I'm not sure how it can be THAT expensive as these models came with that setup, but I'm sure the parts are expensive.

Any help is appreciated, anyone selling the items I need get in touch with me privately.

Thank you,

Joe Clark

You have a BMW X5 4.4i... isn't it too late to save money?

Buy from Tom - you took his expertise, now make it a win/win by buying the parts from him. He sells at good prices, what's the issue?

Go with Tom.

I didn't say I wasn't buying anything from Tom, I'd just like a better understanding of what exactly is needed and if I pickup a part here or there used and still buy parts from a sponsor, I don't see the problem at all. I fail to see why anyone would say "I don't care about the price"...I DO care about the price, and it is possible to care about the price without being "cheap".

I've gotten several private replies, thanks for that guys, if anyone else has anything please msg. me privately.

Thanks again.
