Does the factory DVD player have outputs?

I have a factory BMW overhead entertainment system and am thinking of adding headrest screens to it since the overhead screen is so small. Is that easy to do? Does the factory player have video outputs?

Are you talking about a 3-Series (E90) overhead dockable unit? That is actually built by a company called Visteon. You can go to their website and see the exact kit and see it's features and outputs... (If I had to take a guess I would say YES!)

I hope this helps. BTW my company manufactures Headrest DVD's for the E90!

It wouldn't be that difficult to do as long as you had an experienced tech doing it and if you were going to tie the overhead into the headrest system keep in mind the BMW factory headrest kit does not have video inputs so you would have to go with a product like mine for example. If you chose to go with INViSiON you would need a purchase a Revolution 3! It has the inputs you need to make all 3 screens work at the same time.

Rev 3 also has TV tuner...

I have the BMW entertainment system for the X5. Its the over head console one. I don't know where to look for the video outputs if there are any.

They are internal. You would have to rip the unit out of the roof to get to them, but they are there!
