I ran into issues with that CD Changer when used with Sirius. The sound was very distorted when I hooked via the Sirius Satellite receiver, although was fine when it was hooked directly to the CD Changer car wiring loom.

I learnt that the changer was pretty old in terms of when it was released. Apparently BMW made some changes to the audio pre-out on post 404 changers .... whether this was for Sirius receiver compatibility, I'm not sure. Anway, I installed a later CD Changer part number, and it worked fine with Sirius ... so they did something to the changer design I suspect.

This may help, as I notice you have Sirius from your signature.

Same CD Changer Problem....after Sirius Installation

I am having the very same problem now with my CD Changer that you had (part# 82-11-1-469-404) after installing a Sirius receiver. What did you find out and what did you do to fix the problem?

If you update your -404 changer to any newer part, you'll be fine.

Updated today by dealer to 65-12-6-983-336. Everything works fine now.

Question....Will I now get audio text on my NAV screen now that I have the -336 CD Changer and the -398(-399) radio module?
