Eclipse AVN6600 - Fits X5 w/ Nav?

After a completely exasperating and ultimately failed attempt to get Sirius to work with my 1/03 X5 w/ Nav (tried EVERYTHING, new radio, upgrade of Nav OS, 2 different car stereo places, BMW dealership, etc.), instead of giving up, I'm thinking of doubling down and upgrading the whole shebang with an Eclipse AVN6600. Does anyone know if the Eclipse unit will fit where the current dash system is? Thanks!

I don't know how the X is behind the head unit but when I tried to put a double din unit to replace my nav in my '02 540 it wouldn't fit. It would fit height & width but not debth. There were unmovable air vents behind. It is deep at the top but shallow at the bottom. Better check it before droping $ on a unit that doesn't fit.

Rover call Sound Waves its just outside of Philly and they just installed an Eclipse AVN 7000 in my X5. Ask for Rich and tell him I said hello...he should have some answers for you. BTW I love my AVN 7000, I chose the retractable screen because I work in the city. LOL http://www.s-waves.com/
