Harsh crackle

I have a 2001 X5 with the DSP stero and Nav. When I turn up my radio I get a loud crackle in the speakers. Sounds to me like a blown speaker but I wanted to check here if anyone else has had this problem.

Thanks for replies, in advance,

Andrew

Is it the tweeter on the door, by the side view mirror? I have that problem. Dealer changed the tweeter and it still happens. Haven't had a chance to take it back yet.

Not sure it is a tweeter. I think it is the 6.5" in the front left door.

I have a set of 6.5's on the way so I will see if that fixes it.

Will post results.

Well just fixed the crackle problem. I changed the 6.5's in the door and it is gone. If you have warranty go get em, if not grab some new speakers.

I was also wondering what kind of speakers they are from the factory? They don't look very good
