Auxilery Cable

So, i bought the aux cable from Bavauto for my 2002 X5 with navigation. Well come to find out my X5 was made 5/2002 where the auxilery is only available for 10/2002 and up. He said he didnt have any other options for me since my car was made before 10/2002 and my only option would be to replace the whole unit?

What do you guys recommend me doing now?

Dice Duo or MediaBridge. It much more costly than an auxiliary cable but much less than a new headunit. It will do what you want and more.

I have the same problem My vehicle was built in may 02 and the Aux audio Cable Did not work.

My vehicle has DSP, Business CD, BMW OEM Phone, Prewired fro Sirius, No Nav, No CD Changer but i did find the 3 pin cable in the back of my car but i cant find the coax cable Dice DUo or Mediabridge uses, unless its plugged into something else i havent seen it. Does anyone know where i can find the coax cable in my car?

Also is there a group buy for the forum or any place you may recommend to buy a Dice DUO or Mediabridge from? Ive only found them on ebay but im not so sure about ordering it from them and i have no idea which model i need to order or what to order at this point

Did you look in the centre console? Under the metal work though after you remove the bin - my cables were really buried and wrapped in the normal BMW black foam. The metal is really sharp so be careful - blood is not good on the upholstery.

I thought the coaxial cable would be near the trunk by the other 3 pin cable that would normally be attached to the CD Changer?

If I had the CD changer in my model year it would have been in the centre console. The Nav DVD player would have been in the trunk section with the bluetooth module.
