MB Quart or JL Audio?

I am looking for some feedback on which speakers to get to replace stock ones. I am debating JL or MB. Can anyone give me good or bad feedback

A lot of people have gone with the MB upgrade from BSW (http://www.bavariansoundwerks.com/) and have been happy with them.

I'm not sure if much has changed over the last 5 years with regard to those 2 brands, but 5 years ago when I was very much into car stereos, the general rule was MB Quart for mids and highs, and JL for subs.

I am not a fan of JL mids and highs. Then again, I am a fan of soft-dome tweeter components with low crossover freqs, like DLS, Hertz, Morel, Alpine X-type, Dynaudio, etc.

These don't work too well on the OEM amp due to crossover freqs inside the amp.

I installed the MB Quarts in my X5. They are on the bright side. If you like emphasized highs you will like them. I'm really not sure that the rear's tweeters need to be replaced if you go with MB Quarts. The fronts are plenty bright enough.

The other thing you will notice is how aweful Sirius sounds (if you have it). I'm back to CDs, they really sound great with the MB Quarts.

Two other brands to consider for interior components are Focal and Diamond Audio. Focal are excellent but can be kind of pricey.

I agree MB quart for mids and highs. Been a long time since I've listened to JL speakers (other than subs) and I really didn't like the mid/tweeter, particually the tweeter... very harsh.
I had a/d/s/ and dynaudio in my car and I was really happy. However, it looks like Directed Electronics bought a/d/s/ so I'm not sure if the quality is still there.

Build quality is probably OK, sound quality is not as good.
